A lot of farm houses especially in German have solar panels on the roof. They don't get as much sunshine as we get at home but I guess they make the best use of their sunshine. Last year in France we noticed wind farms everywhere. Here in German and Austria I have not seen any.
Another issue is the phone system. We have looked for a Europe wide SIM card, but nothing like that exists. Each country has its own phone carriers. You would think that someone like Vodafone would be able to have a Europe SIM card.
Internet access also varies. The 5 star hotels charge a fortune for internet access, while the smaller ones have free WiFi. This why I don't update the blog every day, just when I get internet access.
