Cameras & stuff

We are getting everything ready. Including all the technology stuff.
Back in my youth when I went overseas I had to buy lots of rolls of film, now I buy memory cards and batteries.  Still it is great to be able to store up to 3000 photos on a $10 memory card,  and to see them straight away.   On the trip years ago I did a 3 month trip and didn't see the resulting photos until weeks after returning from the trip.  No chance to take another shot if it didn't come out correctly.
 I do copy them off to computer or flash drive in case the camera gets damaged or stolen.
My cameras take AA batteries so I take a number of sets of rechargeable batteries & I can buy batteries if required.  I usually get a day out of a charge.
I will take an old laptop to access email, skype & manage photos.
